AMA Board election announcement

As discussed during our December AGM, we are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the six available roles on the AMA Board. Nominations will be accepted until February 5th, 2025, with voting available until the Special General Meeting on February 14th, 2025. Voting can also be conducted by proxy. The term for these appointments will run until the 2026 AGM.

The current Board recently conducted a gap analysis of the Board’s skills, experience, and network, and reviewed the AMA’s Purpose. To effectively fulfil our Purpose and implement the MBIE Project Plan, we believe it is necessary to update the AMA Board, as outlined below:

We plan to expand our Board to a total of 10 members, composed as follows:

All Board positions except for the Chair are entirely voluntary

The minimum time commitment for general members of the AMA Board is expected to be six meetings per year. Occasionally, Board members may be asked to contribute opinions, ideas, or information to support a workplan. Additionally, extra AMA meetings may be scheduled, and these will be arranged in consultation with the Chairperson and the AMA CEO.

As the AMA is a national organization, reasonable travel expenses (excluding accommodation) will be covered by the AMA.
