HAVE YOUR FINAL SAY: 2025 Work-based learning reforms – targeted consultation

Over 2024, the Government considered the future design of New Zealand’s Vocational Education and Training system. This included consulting with the public during August and September.   AMA made a submission on behalf of members in the first round of consultation in September 2024. You can view this submission here

Today the Government is opening a targeted consultation on two models of work-based learning.  Stakeholders are being invited to provide feedback on two options for work-based learning in New Zealand and to identify which option they feel will best meet the needs of their industry.

Following consideration of feedback, the Government will decide which model of work-based learning to progress. Your organisation’s views on these models will inform the Government’s decision on which one best supports work-based learning.
